About
My name is Alyssa Di Sabatino. I’m a freelance journalist, writer and editor based in Ontario, Canada. I’m a recent graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Global Studies.
During my time as a student at WLU I worked for The Cord, Wilfrid Laurier University’s official student newspaper. Previously, I was the Opinion Editor and Arts and Life Editor, and most recently held the position of Editor-in-Chief in the 2020-21 term.
I have written for Canadian publications including The Community Edition, Waterloo Region’s monthly independent newspaper and Maclean’s Magazine’s University Guidebook. I have reported on a diverse range of topics including breaking news, arts, culture, opinion pieces, profiles, features, general assignments and more.
I have a deep interest in telling stories that are important to the communities around me. While you're here, please take a look at my portfolio or reach out to connect.
